My poor husband this year. Isn't he a good sport?

B- hey jelly bean! Chunk-hey broccoli! How are you carrot? M love- I'm good, where's string bean? Mommy - I'm right here! From a family with only one junk food junkie.

They complained that there were too many flies during lunch. The sun was too bright. The cows udders was pretty disgusting. Potato digging was cool. But the pumpkin ice cream was delicious! Thank you spring hill farms in Petaluma. I just found the block of organic cheese in my purse and I swear the potatoes were "planted" not planted bc they can't possibly just come out of the ground like that! I was then promptly told that's why I'm so pretty. HUH? I also said the ice cream actually tasted creamy. Do we all act like this?

Well. It's been what years? A lot has happened. I used to not work, now I work. It's been almost a year now. Made some nice friends being back. Here I am with some winetasting in Sonoma. I work too much but am striving for balance. Kids are in school M love in 2nd and out of his shell, chunk is in his 2nd preschool and is the "mayor" after his first week. Acts like he owns the place. "welcome, newbies! Let me show you around and get comfortable!" all after his second week. He was a help with the teachers. We found our dream house and am packing up hopefully our bid will be accepted and we move out of our lovely little condo in SF and out to the burbs in an eichler of our dreams! Lots to do today. Hopefully next blog will be about shoes and how they look in a house with floor to ceiling windows! Xoxo

Happy birthday to my first born. He turned 7 on January 24th 2011. The lucky guy had baba bring doughnut muffins to his class and then had Pasta pomodoro, his favorite restaurant, for dinner and that was it. One present when he got home. My plan was "less is more" but the lego store and build a bear the day before proved that wasn't actually true. Then more guilt and I am having a few of his classmates over today for a little get together and some cake. No big deal but a reason to get the house really clean. Right? Oh I tried to bake a cake last night and I added double the water from one cup to two and freaked out and started throwing stuff in and baked it anyways and it worked. Not much flavor but I think with lots of frosting it might be ok. My Betty crocker days are behind me.

It makes me sad to announce that as of January 8th 2011, that I do not have a baby anymore. I know that really happened last year when he turned 2 but I love babies. Here he is with his homemade chocolate and peppermint cake. I will be the one crying in the corner.

Last satuday was a beautiful day so after K took his nap we went to the beach. Mind you it was 3:30 already but what the hell! It was M loves bday weekend. The water was colder than anything you could imagine. The waves were huge, little did I know it was the mavericks weekend. I actually think I would have died if I went in past my ankles. But it didn't stop the kids the first or second time but after the third helping of cold ass ocean water they decided it was too cold and a game of tag ensued. It was hilarious as big B is slowing down in his old age and M love is skinny and fast. Here is a pic of poor K doing a backwards spead eagle airplane while being chased. His positions changed as he was being used as the "ball" in this game of keep away. But he loved it. We all did.
