Mommy has reached a new high!

Having a kid with nut allergies is stressful. Especially when picking out the cupcakes for the classroom celebration. Other kids are even worse, they can't even be standing next to someone has been eating it earlier in the day. It's bad. I'm at Safeway. I have a window o time to make it. No cupcakes anywhere. Chocolate muffins those will do - wait donuts again. No, yuck! Every label says may contain tree nuts. I do not want to be the mom who sends the kids to the hospital bc it may or may not contain bits of evil. So I went this way instead - ice cream sandwiches. Classy huh?! They liked them, good enough for me!

Birthday #4!

Friday - skipped school, hung out with mom, toys r us trip to pick up a quick spinjitsu, get brother at school and then end the night with "The best live show ever! Phineus and Ferb." Front row center seats. First show ever. Very entertaining despite the nap she decided it was ok to skip which made me cranky. Saturday-easy morning bc of late show and dinner out. It's tough turning 4. I got my nap in and went bowling with family and cousins and grandparents. I was winning until baba decided to get 5 strikes and then I came in second. I rock at bowling! Then some dinner at auntie meme's and some ice cream cake with count em 5 candles! Always one for good luck. Sunday-the actual big day, I got jelly donuts for breakfast. A rootbeer float for lunch and a new bike! I rode it around the back until that boxing bag got in the way of my path! I took a long nap with my mommy and had a nice dinner. Now it's time for me to go to bed an hour later than usual. The rules...

Mother's selfless act

I try not to do this and get wrapped up in kid shows, theme parks or Disney on ice kinda stuff but I let my guard down and picked up some tickets to phineus and ferb tonight. I spent a few years with my first born bringing him to the god forsaken wiggles concert because he loved them so much. Three of them to be exact. But it was never appreciated. I know how I act at a concert and it's enthusiasm that borders on annoying. Well probably really annoying with all that jumping and singing. Well back to the boys, the little one says "no" as soon as we park. What! I spent an arm and a leg in these! We are going in! This mama has evolved from being plucked from the audience and dancing on stage, going back stage or just escorted to the tour bus to being moved to the row in front of the front row center with kids in tow. Which in turn turned his scowl pictured here when we arrived to a sweet smile at all the entertainment being shoved down his throat. I'll do this once...
